Let me catch you up on my situation real quick like...

Much has happened since I left Texas a week ago.  I moved into my apt, got settled (up on the 3rd floor... ahhhh... I thought I was going to die!!!!), watched a storm roll in (the lightening was AWESOME!!!!), it hailed a little bit, mom and dad crashed in at about midnight on Friday, Sept 3rd.  We went and saw Kristopher, he is doing great and his spirits are high ans he seems to be dong well.  Spent some time with Uncle Bret and Aunt Lori at their new home not too far from here on Saturday and Sunday.  Daddy bought my apt a really nice table and chairs.  Pictures will arrive soon.  Everyone was here by Sunday sometime, except Trevin and Kraig.  We had fun sitting around doing a lot of nothing. : P

So Emily has been wanting a couch for apt since before we got pinned from the program.  So yesterday while perusing  around on Craig's List we found some really awesome couches.  None of us had the cash for it, except Annamarie.  She didn't seem very excited to have to cough it up, but I assured her that the second I got my financial aid I would buy them from her.  So after driving about an hour to buy a $15.00,  27 inch TV and getting a microwave at the local Salvation Army, Uncle Bret called and said he could meet up with us to go and get the couches.  So we met Bret, Lori and Austin at the people's house who were selling them.  We see these really nice sage green Ashley furniture couch and matching arm chair.  We sit on them and decided, yep.... These are the ones.  Loaded them up and brought them home.  The guys were really nice to carry them up the stairs for us.  So Annamarie sits on them and says she isn't going to sell them to me.  That she might want to keep them.  (I was kind of heart broken... But I can't say I blame her!!!! They are dang nice!!!!)  So everyone got to meet Uncle Bret, Aunt Lori and Austin.  Then a few of Jason Brignac's friends from Rexburg who live in Moore, came over and we roasted wienies and marshmallows.  It was kind of fun to screw around under the gazebo with fire. XD  Don't worry... No one got hurt in the making of this blog.

So today we all woke up early (and when I say early I mean earlier than I wanted to arise) and went to EMSA headquarters (I guess that is what it is called...?)  It wasn't what they call post 41, which is where you go and pick up your gear and your ambulance, it was at their administrative office.  So... Whatever... We had orientation, met important people, ate yummy food, got our schedules (work Friday through Monday noon to midnight) I really like mine.  So I rode into town with Trevin (the Rexburg Fire Fighter, he got to bring one of the station's chase vehicles and RMCES is paying for the gas, so he will be doing quite a bit of driving) also Kraig, Moa and Josh rode in the back seat. : P  On the way into town I was the navigator and Trevin missed his exit so I was dubbed no longer worthy to navigate. : / Yet, on the way home I was allowed to... Men, make no sense to me sometimes.  We stopped by the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial and walked around it for about 15 minutes and decided we needed to find a day off to go through the museum.  It was very interesting and very solemn on the grounds.  They have a chair for every person who died in the bombing and they arranged by what floor they were on when the building was attacked and the aerial view of the chairs is arranged to look like the building after the bombing.  Very sad.  We then went to find Post 41 on S. Walker and kept running into construction, no bueno!  After driving by the post where we pick up our ambulances, gear, cots and preceptors, we headed home.  I watched 'What about Bob?' with Emily who promptly fell asleep, while Annamarie fixed my computer!!!!!  She is my hero!!  Then I tried to figure this whole blog nonsense out.  Abandoned it to go to Wal-mart, order a pizza and watch 'Liar, Liar' with Em, Annamarie and Melissa.  Which also reminds me that Kraig and his wife borrowed 'Without a Paddle' and some other movie... I should probably find out which one that was.  I am now going to go to bed... Tune in tomorrow evening for another heroic account of the EPIC event's in the daily life of me...
